About Us:
Dark Horse Farms, a premier hunter/jumper show stables and equine management company. Our customized program focuses on the development and sales of show jumpers and derby hunters from young prospects to proven veterans. Dark Horse Farms offers top quality management, training and marketing for competitive show horses. Our show schedule consists of traveling to USEF, PCHA and FEI rated competitions an average of 1-2 times a month with the purpose competing and developing top show jumpers and hunters. Our time on the road and in the show ring provides multiple opportunities for us to promote our horses, clients, sponsors and the sport of show jumping.

Development, Care & Management
Our development program is base on good horsemanship, ethical fundamentals, a strong foundation and most of all a deep respect for our equine partners. Each horse under the care and management of Dark Horse Farms has a customized program designed specifically to the horses needs and training level.Training Program
Our comprehensive full service training program is geared towards the competitive athlete and is individually tailored to each horse and rider. Lessons are both private and semi-private. Partial Care/Training Programs & a la cart services also available.Consignment Program
This service is exclusively for horses that are for sale. The program consists of marketing and promotion for consignment horses including the creation and distribution of sales media, scheduling and trials.Individual Training Rides - Catch Rides
Known for her ability to catch ride all types of horses, Lisa is happy to extend her riding services to horses that are not part of the Dark Horse Program. Training and competition catch rides are arranged based on each horses individual needs and our competition schedule.Private/Semi-private Lessons
Lessons available for beginners through advanced riders with focus on hunters, jumpers, equitation and ponies. Lesson packages and farm visits available. Haul-ins welcome.Coaching & Clinics

Show Schedule:
Our show schedule is determined by which shows are best matched to enable our clients to reach their competitive goals, and which classes are best suited for our current string of horses with the goal of producing happy consistent champions. For young prospects we focus our attention on Young Jumper Championship(YJC), International Hunter Futurity(IHF) classes and breed association inspections. For open horses we focus on Open divisions, Grand Prix and Hunter Derby classes. For juniors and amateurs we focus on the hunter, jumper, equitation and pony divisions. On average we maintain a schedule that consists of one-two rated horse shows a month.
